Lab Report 1
Objective: The objective of this lab is to learn Newton’s law of motions.
Hypothesis: I think if you pull the ramp, the cart will move backwards on the table.
Materials: 1. wooden ramp
2. Cart

Objective: The objective of this lab is to learn Newton’s law of motions.
Hypothesis: I think if you pull the ramp, the cart will move backwards on the table.
Materials: 1. wooden ramp
2. Cart
Procedure:
First, I had to set a wooden plank (the ramp) on a table with about 12'' of the ramp extended over the edge of the tables.
Second, I had to place the cart on the part of the wooden ramp that was on the table.
Third, I stood to one side and quickly jerked the ramp out from underneath the cart.I had to repeat step three 4 or 5 times and record my observations.
Data:
Trial 1-The cart did not fall or roll. It just slides onto the table Backwards.
Trial 2-The cart did the same thing it did in trial 1.
Trial 3-The cart slide off of the left side of the ramp.
Trial 4-The cart did the same thing it did in trials 1 and 2.
Conclusion: After we removed the ramp the cart did was move backward onto the table. My Hypothesis was correct just. Only thing is that it didn’t move.
I think that the cart did not follow Newton’s first law because his law states that a object at rest stays at rest. The cart was at rest on the ramp but when you moved the ramp the cart moves.
